The Glitters of the Past- poem

Though the stars may have long gone,
But their glitters on the world still live,
Though the glitters may have died down;
And their shimering lights may have gone,
But the memory of the past remains a trail,
The trail of their existence still live.
Though the days may have long gone,
And seems like it would never come again;
The days the zeal of our motherland reigned,
When fighting for her course our only aim,
When protecting her image our only desire,
But then; the solid name still remain,
The name her heroes past built upon;
NIGERIA, the pride of Nigerians till tomorrow.
